FAQ

1. So the meat is fully cooked?

Yes!  Our meat is slow cooked by us to seal in the special Pig of the Month flavor and save you time.  All you have to do is reheat and eat!

2. Can I serve the barbecue the day it arrives?

Our barbecue typically needs about a day to thaw, but if you would like we also include reheating instructions from a frozen state on our reheating card that comes with every order.

3. Do you have any special offers?

We always have something on special.  To receive our special deals you must be signed up for our e-mails.  To sign up now to get Pig of the Month e-mails click here.

4. How do I reheat what was just delivered?
The easiest way to reheat our meat products is in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes to one hour or until the product reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. We also include with each order a reheating instructions document.  But, if you’ve lost it or the dog ate it, here is the link to it Reheating Instructions.

5.  How do I track my package?
You will receive an email the day that your package ships with the tracking number and a link to FedEx.  Depending on the shipping method you chose, you can expect to receive your order within 2 days from shipment date.  FedEx will leave the package at the address provided without a signature, so when you see it has been delivered be on the lookout!

6. How long can I keep a bottle of sauce once it’s been opened?

Sauce should be consumed within one (1) year from the date it was opened.

Products should be consumed within 7 days!  How could you wait any longer?!

10. What do I do with the leftover dry ice?

We ship your order with the exact amount of dry ice that it need to reach you.  Usually, there is none left when it arrives.  If there is, do not touch dry ice with your bare hands, it will burn you! Use oven mitts or a pair of tongs and dispose in an outside garbage can. Dry ice will evaporate. But, if you have children, or are a child at heart, try this fun trick.  Put the dry ice in a large soup pot, and then pour a pitcher of hot water over it and watch it fog up your house.  Good times!

11. Why can’t I order just what I want?

26. Your name is Pig of the Month… does that mean I’m going to get billed for something every month?

No way Jose!  We hate companies that do that – so we would never operate like that.  The name originally started because we offered so many different styles of BBQ, but as we’ve grown we’ve dropped some of them.  The idea was originally to “get you pig of the month, every month” – because everyone should have good BBQ at least once a month.

27. When I order the BBQ of the Month club, can I choose which months I want?

You can choose which month you want to start the shipments, but after that it goes consecutively.  Just put your preference into the special date field when checking out!
