What is the status of my order?

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email that has your requested delivery date on it.   If you do not see a date on your receipt you have selected ship ASAP. 

Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm the expected delivery date, as well as the link to track your order.

Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your "order history" section on your account page on the website.

Can I change my order?

We can only change orders that have not been processed for shipping yet.

Once your order has shipped we cannot make any changes.

Can I select a delivery date during checkout? 

Yep!  You can choose to either ship ASAP or select a future delivery week during checkout.  

We only guarantee specific days with overnight shipping.  Otherwise, orders are delivered Wednesday to Saturday (Sunday if available in your area) each week. 

How long does it take to ship my order? 

If you selected ship ASAP, then it usually takes 2-3 business days to process your order, and 2-3 days to deliver it.  

If you select overnight shipping and ship ASAP, it will automatically ship the next business day and deliver the following day. 

How does my order ship? 

You order will ship in an insulated cooler with enough dry ice to reach you safely.  

It ships fresh, but oftentimes, with the amount of dry ice in the box, it will arrive frozen.  It's great either way!   You can keep it frozen for up to 3 months or in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. 

How do I reheat what was just delivered?

We include lots of ways to reheat your meats depending on what's most convenient for you.  Grill, oven, microwave or slow cooker -- We've got you covered!

You'll get a reheating booklet with each order, but if you’ve lost it or the dog ate it, here is a copy of our Reheating Instructions.

How long can I keep my meats? 

Our products are best kept frozen for up to 3 months, or in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. 

Your name is Pig of the Month… does that mean I’m going to get billed for something every month?

No way!  

We hate companies that do that – so we would never operate like that.  Every purchase is a one-time order with no auto billing.  If you purchase a monthly club it will be paid in full up front and we will ship you your items each month.

2. Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards on our website.  

We additionally offer support for Paypal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

You can also choose to use Sezzle to split your order into payments. 

You can chose these payment methods at checkout.

Do you offer financing as a payment option?

We are proud partners with Sezzle, who offer the option to split your purchase into payments. 

You will be able to chose that payment option during checkout.

3. Nutritional Information

Are all of your products gluten free?

99% of our items are gluten free!  Each item is marked on its product page if it's gluten free.  

The only items that are not are the cornbread mix, rolls, rye bread, and giant bacon cinnamon roll. 

Are your products free from the other Top 8 allergens?

We try and keep most of our products free from the Top 8 allergens, but you can also double check ingredients of each item by selecting the nutritional information tab on each product page.

You can find nutritional information on most of our products by looking at the items product page, and clicking the 'nutritional information' tab.

Where do you source your meats from?

Our meats all come from local farms in the midwest that have exceptionally high standards of care.  They are committed to humanely raising their animals and providing free-range and a high quality diet. 

All of our meats are grass-fed, free range, and humanely raised. 

I’m not sure how much food to order… can you help a brother out?

But of course!

  • 1 rack of our ribs will normally feed 2 people, or 1 teenage boy. 
  • One pound of other meats will feed 3-4 people, depending on appetites. 
  • Sausages and bacon are sold by the pound. 

Do any of your products contain MSG, high fructose corn syrup, nitrates, or other preservatives?

Nope! We firmly believe in only including real ingredients in your food, so you won't ever find nitrates, preservatives, additives, or other fake "food" products in any of our items. 

How long can I keep a bottle of sauce once it’s been opened?

Sauce should be consumed within one year from the date it was opened. Once opened it should be kept refrigerated.

 4. Shipping

Where do you ship?

We ship to all 50 states in the US of A. 

How much is shipping?

There are 4 options for shipping: 

  • Standard Flat Rate:  $9.95 nationwide
  • Expedited Flat Rate:  $15.00 nationwide
  • Second Day Shipping:  $35.00 nationwide
  • Overnight Shipping: $55.00 nationwide

Alaska and Hawaii must ship using Second Day or Overnight only.  Free shipping promotions do not apply to Alaska or Hawaii, sorry!

Do you offer any international shipping?

Due to the perishable nature of most of our products, we cannot ship outside of the USA.   

Can I ship to a post office box or APO/ FBO address?

Unfortunately, we are not able to ship to either type of address due to the perishable nature of our products. 

How long does it take to ship my order? 

If you select ship ASAP, then it usually takes 2-3 business days to process your order and 2-3 days to deliver.

Do I need to be home to accept the delivery?

Nope!  We have a signature release on all of our packages to ensure your items arrive on time, even if you're not available. 

If you're shipping this as a gift we recommend giving your giftee a heads up once you receive the tracking information so they know to be on the lookout for it!

How does my order ship?

How do I track my package?

Once your package is picked up and scanned in by the carrier, you will receive an email with a tracking link so you can see your estimated delivery date and track it along its journey. 

Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your "order history" section on your account page on the website.

You will receive one more email notification once it is delivered to alert you to be on the lookout. 

There was no dry ice left in my box – now what?

That's totally fine! 

Typically, there will be very little or no dry ice left when the box reaches you.  As long as your items are cool to the touch when you open the box you are good to either freeze for up to 3 months or keep cool in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. 

How long can food stay in the box once I receive it?

Once the package is received, you will want to put it in the refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible. Meat left in the box overnight once it has been delivered will most likely spoil.

I live in Dayton – where can I pick up locally?

Due to COVID we are not currently accepting local pickups. 

5. ETC

I didn’t get a purchase receipt!

Sometimes when you first order from us, your purchase receipt will get sent to spam on accident.  Check there first and if you still can’t find it, e-mail orders@pigofthemonth.com to request a new one.

You can also log in to your account and check on the status of your order and see past orders as well.

What can I do with the leftover cooler? 

While we're working on finding a more environmentally friendly solution to the Styrofoam problem, we still want to make sure you get your meat safely and at the right temperature. 

We recommend donating them to your local animal shelter.  They use the coolers for feral cat shelters and they're always in need of new ones!

Can I store my shipping and billing addresses so that I don’t have to enter them next time?

Of course!

You can create an account during checkout and it will allow you to save different addresses to choose from for future orders, as well as show your history and tracking information.

You will receive an email to reset your password shortly.

6. Returns & Guarantee

Do you accept returns?

Due to food safety laws, we cannot accept returns on perishable food items. 

Can I exchange an item?

We do not accept exchanges as they follow the same food safety laws as returns.

Do you have physical stores?

We do not have any retail stores currently. 

Our little slice of 'que heaven is located at 2571 Timber Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45414.  We are not open to the public.
